What Bifold (Folding) Patio Doors Solve
A traditional sliding door leaves at least one full panel of glass standing in the middle of the opening when open. A bifold door doesn't. Each pair of glass panels hinges and folds flat against the jamb, clearing the structural opening end-to-end so the wall between your living room and patio simply disappears. For pool decks, outdoor kitchens, and entertaining-driven floor plans, that uninterrupted indoor-outdoor flow is the entire point.
Configurations (3, 4, 5+ panel)
We engineer bifold systems in 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-panel configurations, with panels stacking to one side, bi-parting at the center, or returning around a corner post. Heights regularly run 8 to 10 feet, individual panel widths up to roughly 42 inches, and total openings well past 25 feet wide. Each layout is shop-fabricated to your exact rough opening, with inswing or outswing orientation, traffic doors on either side, and concealed multi-point reach-out locks at the master panel.
Aluminum vs Wood Bifold
Wood bifold systems look beautiful in renderings and behave poorly in Houston. Humidity swells the panels, sun bleaches the finish, and the seasonal expansion-contraction cycle wears out the hinges and weatherseals faster than a homeowner expects. Heavy-gauge thermal break aluminum doesn't move with the weather, accepts long-lasting powder coat finishes in any RAL color, and supports far larger panel sizes per leaf — letting you build a true wall of glass that still operates with a single hand decades later.
